Little Cheer

Little Cheer

Last night I went to Little Cheer. It is a one day cheer clinic for little girls. The highschool cheer leaders teach the girls cheers and a dance. Then they take us to the basketball or football half time show, and we cheer.

After I cheered we watched the game. It was really fun.

From The Mom's Perspective

Movie Review

We went to see The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything last weekend, and can I just say the I was pretty disappointed? I had heard that Big Idea had sold to the corporate world, I just didn't realize they had SOLD OUT!
Universal (RED FLAG- RED FLAG) did a very thorough job of scrubbing ALL references to God out of the movie. Sure, the themes were still there- but the kids don't really get it.
The movie was cute in a very Veggi way. The characters are still themselves. I'm sure that my kids liked seeing the characters they knew on the big screen. All in all it is still more than decent family viewing.
I guess I just expect more from a company whose motto is (or was once) "Saturday Morning Fun, Sunday Morning Values."
